Ross Offshore Consultancy and this

The first objective, to turn Easterton into a Centre
of excellence for the sport of gymnastics
on horseback, is being met. The number of vaulting
sessions is increasing with various groups, including
adults, participating. See Eagles
Vaulting Group web-site. The club has hosted sessions
for schoolchildren and those with some special needs.

for further info on how to 'Have a Go'
It
will also be a centre of excellence in the Art
of coaching. Several UKCC
courses have now been run, Easterton
being ahead off the game, having three Coach Educators
on site. The first certificates for UKCC in the whole
of GB have just been awarded by SQA to the Pilot course
run at Easterton in the Spring of 2007. Apply to Ann
for course info.
Lessons with Pat:
There
are five highly trained lunge horses available, working
at least at Elementary Level dressage. We are making
good use of them giving private lessons ridden or
on the lunge. Apply to Pat
for lessons.
To
increase the experience with a school horse please
plan to arrive 30 minutes ahead of your time in order
to groom and tack up the horse. This allows you to
get to know him and his mood and relax yourslelf for
the lesson ahead. Help will be available if your are
unsure. The same goes after the lesson. Please ensure
he is cooled off given a rub down and his bit washed.
Pat
is also highly skilled at helping you bring on your
own horse. Several of her clients have had a successful
year competing.
Lessons with Ernest Dillon:
Ernest is now coming to take jumping lessons
at Easterton.

How
we can help?
Pat
Taylor, experienced dressage coach, has teamed
up with Ann Hunt, vaulting coach and retired
Veterinary Surgeon, to offer coaching for those that are
struggling with their horse as well as those who would like
to move on a step further.
Step
1.: Pat assesses your horse in the first lesson,
usually by riding it and then suggests a course of action.
Step 2.:This may be further lessons or
a week's stay for intensive corrective riding where Ann
offers lunge lessons on the highly trained vaulting horses
to improve the owner's seat, balance, co-ordination and
fitness.
Pat may ride your horse for a few sessions to help with
his education.
Step
3.:The owner is then re-united with their horse
for further help.
This
formula is proving very successful and the Easterton
Equine Activities Club hopes to cater for any level
of rider who would like to improve the partnership with
their horse.
For
those interested in serious competition, Pat has ridden
at Advanced medium level dressage and Ann at Medium level
so you know you are in experienced hands. |
The
Club will offer membership
in different categories:
- Various
livery packages,
- Remedial
riding lessons,
- Competitive
riding lessons,
- Problem
sorting,
- Care
and welfare of the horse classes,
- Short
breaks and weekly holidays with riding instruction, with
or without your horse.
- Vaulting
classes for all levels, ages and abilities. This will
be a centre of excellence for the sport of gymnastics
on horseback.

Alexander
technique etc.
